Laurence Vannicelli’s short film THE YOUNG HOUSEFLY was nominated for a Student Academy Award and a Vimeo Staff Pick. Along with Matt Black, he wrote PORNO, which will premiere in competition at SXSW in 2019, STATION BLACKOUT, an action/drama sold in a competitive situation to networks with Mark Gordon/eOne as the studio, as well as numerous other commissions. Laurence received his BA from Brown in Art-Semiotics and an MFA in Directing at Columbia University, where he won the award for Most Promising Director, the Director’s Fellowship, and the James Bridges Award for his work with actors. He has worked extensively as a cinematographer, including the Netflix feature BLACK SITE DELTA. He is a citizen of the US and Italy.
